Dollars for Scholars
At Wagner's IGA we are proud of our local scholars. Since Wagner's Dollars for Scholars started in 1990, we have donated annually to local schools for scholarships. Wagner's gives deserving students at area high schools money to put towards their education. The program is a community effort, asking shoppers to save their receipts throughout the school year and turn them into their local schools. Wagner's then totals the receipt values and donates one cent on every dollar to the school.
Summer Reading Program
Did you know children who read four or more books over the summer perform better on reading comprehension tests in the fall than their peers who read 1 or no books? Since 1988 Wagner's IGA and local libraries have teamed up to get kids reading. The Summer Reading Program encourages kids to set reading goals during the summer and rewards them for their efforts with prizes, free ice cream and an end of year summer party to celebrate their accomplishments.
Wagner's Reuasable Bags
Paper, plastic, or neither? In an effort to help our shoppers make sustainable choices about their shopping habits we have started our Wagner's Reusable Bags program. We offer reusable shopping bags at a discounted price. We believe that small steps like these, make a big difference in our communities and environment.
Joint Township Wellness Program
We partner with Joint Township Memorial Hospital to bring wellness and health care education to our customers. Registered nurses regularly visit our stores to provide information about healthy living and perform free routine screenings, such as blood pressure, glucose, bone density and much more.
Donation Request Form
Wagner's IGA contributes to many local Non-Profit Organizations. In doing so, we feel we are helping make the schools, churches, organizations and surrounding communities a better place.
