Inspired by the unique conditions of the storied rickhouses at the Wild Turkey Distilling Co, the Russell's Reserve Single Rickhouse Collection explores the often-unsung contributions specific barrel resting places can have on a whiskey's final character. Each LTO in the annual series features whiskey drawn entirely from a single rickhouse, celebrating the varied nuances of each aging environment. Built in the 1940s, Camp Nelson B is still standing tall today as one of 5 remaining rickhouses on the property. Centrally located on the Camp Nelson plot, the seven-floor timber and tin clad rickhouse sits higher than the site of the 2023 release, Camp Nelson F. This central placement lends itself to increased sun exposure vs. the rickhouses of previous Single Rickhouse releases, which both sat closer to the Kentucky River along the shady treeline.
